We are seeking a committed, enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative skills to support and assist the Housing Team to deliver Harborough District Council’s Housing Register and homelessness service.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering the Choice-Based Lettings service by maintaining the Housing Register and ensuring the smooth running of the weekly advertising and shortlisting of social and affordable housing in the district. The Team Support Officer is an integral part of the housing team and will support the delivery of our statutory duty to prevent and relieve homelessness. The post holder will also be responsible for generating system reports relating to performance, liaising with key stakeholders and customers. The postholder should be conscientious, have a high level of attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. The postholder will work with vulnerable customers in sensitive situations.

The base for this post will be The Symington Building Market Harborough and the post holder will report to the Housing Services Manager.

Essential requirements:-

  • An ability to organise and prioritise workload,
  • Experience of working to deadlines,
  • I.T. skills, including experience of MS Word, Excel and Access,
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Experience of working with vulnerable customers
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
