We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Community Engagement Officer who has extensive knowledge of engaging and working with communities. Come and join our community partnerships team where you will be responsible for managing a small team who will work across the district supporting Parish/Town Councils, community groups and others.
You will work with parishes and communities to raise awareness of the role the Council can play in supporting new and existing communities. To act as support at a local level to deliver community development initiatives and provide guidance and identify opportunities to support parishes and communities in achieving their goals.
To lead and engage with communities and parishes across the district to build trusted working relationships to enable delivery of community development initiatives. You will support the delivery of the Council’s Rural Strategy ensuring the strategic outcomes are achieved by working alongside the community and parishes.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and have experience of building working relationships within communities at a local level. From time to time, you may be required to attend evening meetings, where time off in leu will be given.
