We are looking for a Payroll Officer to work in Finance Services.

Reporting to the Transactional & Payroll Team Leader, you will work closely with our delegated payroll provider and the HR Team to ensure employees, Broughton Astley Parish Council and Members are paid accurately and on time, including expenses each month.  Recent experience working as a payroll officer, including a tax year end closedown and demonstratable experience of a variety of payroll amendments such as maternity leave and statutory sick pay is essential.  In addition, you will also have experience of answering payroll related questions and queries in a timely manner. 

You will be able to work both under your own initiative and as part of a small team with the ability to work accurately and concisely whilst delivering excellent customer service.  Your analytical and prioritisation skills will be second to none and your effective communication and negotiation skills will help you to build effective working relationships.  Experience of using a market leading Payroll, HR, ICT system and the ability to use Microsoft Office to intermediate level are also essential.
